5 Amateur Tips On How To Save For Future Travels

Thursday, November 3, 2016

Hello modern adventurous travelers! Are you still planning that most exciting trip of your life? Still doubting? Not yet the time? What makes you wait for the right time? I'll tell you, there's no right time for traveling, every time is always right, unless there's something hinders you to realize the plan. Of course, there's that thing that we always thought of before traveling. We are not those lucky wealthy gals out there who can fly directly and be in a certain place they like in just a snap (snap jud??? though exaggerated...). If our problem is not that we don't have time, it's always the money thingy, right? But if that's the problem, we can always do a way to produce money to travel, right ladies? Yes for me, I guess. I may not be an expert about the tips on how to save for that future travel but let me share you my own tips on how to save and prepare that moolah for your future adventures.

1. Cut on those shopping and coffee treats. Are you a Starbucks coffee addict or a shopaholic? I am not discouraging you to stop drinking coffee in SB but you may consider this item if you have problems of getting money for that planned trip sooner. But if you can't control the urge, you may consider of getting your daily dose of caffeine into a twice a week dose, as well as to shopping. You may shop for the things you will need for the trip but limit to that. No to overspending.

2. Define the "needs" as to "wants". For me, this will always be a rule. I should remember that "wants" will always be last and  "needs" should be the priority. Debts need to be paid first before buying those I want. Well, yes, eyeing for something can't be helped but you should need to weigh it before cashing it out. I have the saying, "If I come back and that thing is still there, it's for me or it will be the other way around."

3. Set apart the things you don't need and sell it. Love shopping for your OOTDs? Do you have clothes you already don't like wearing stacked in your closet and don't know how to get rid of those? How about going through an inspection for each of those and separate it into "stay" and "let go". For those in the "stay", put it back in your closet. For those clothes in the "let go", how about selling those second hand items in a reasonable price. Ways of selling are endless. Its up to you on how to sell it. In this way, you were able to clean your closet and having a reason to do more shopping, get rid of those not needed anymore and the best thing, you were able to save for that coming trip you've always wanted to do.

4. Plan ahead of time. Good planning will come a long way. Budgeting your savings and planning on how you will spend before and during the big trip will able to help you run along the way.

5. Find a part-time job. Let's say you've already done 1-4, but still, you're savings is not yet enough, you can have another job together with your 9am-5pm regular job. That is, if you still have the power to do it. You may have an online part-time job for just how many hours. But I'll tell you, this is the last option you can do. You don't deserve the effects of doing this. Yes, you can save for your future trip but please bear also into mind the condition of your body. Money is useless when your body is down because of over-fatigue.

That's it. I don't have expertise in giving advises or tips but I hope these things will help you through your future trip planning. You might read these tips already anywhere but I just also want to share these as these are the things that works for me.

Just remember, in money saving, anything will work with great control and good planning, just be aware of your limitations and don't ever take for granted the needs of your body. This is our only capital, make it healthy and kicking. If you have great tips to share, how about sharing it in the comments below.

Have a great planning ahead for that future trip of yours!
