Miyajima Island: Itsukushima Shrine

Sunday, January 5, 2014

Hello 5th day of 2014! Starting this year by posting leftovers from last year. One of my resolutions this year would be a responsible blogger (insert "crossed fingers" here...). To start, I am going to share to you a photo diary of our 1-day Hiroshima tour during the middle of December 2013 so beware 'coz I will bombard you with photos. Winter was not a hindrance to realize the trip. Packed with necessary things, down south we went by a bullet train. I will cut down this trip to 2 posts so here the first part, Miyajima Island: Itsukushima Shrine.

Itsukushima Shrine located in Miyajima island was one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites so I was awed by the opportunity of being here. Inside and even outside the shrine will be tamed deer that would welcome you upon arrival at Miyajima port. You can hold and can take pictures with them too. The place was a picturesque landscape because of the structure, colors, location and the history it brings to us. Captured so many pictures and can't decide which will be included in this post but came up with ONLY these pictures.

The only picture of us 3 in one picture. By the way, except this picture, all of the pictures in this post was captured by yours truly using my Canon 60D and some Photoshop magic.
