Chick Flicks For Lady Wanderers

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

For today's post, let's have some Wednesday Watchlist. These might be outdated movies but being subjective as it is, these are my 5 recommended chick flick movies as of time for lady wanderers out there. I know, maybe, all of you already watched these flicks but it's not bad to watch it again right? Here you go... Enjoy!

The Holiday

Hey ladies! Who doesn't love this movie even it started with heartaches. The movie is about finding your love in most expected time and place. Two heartbroken ladies exchanged places (their houses) to forget and get over with all the heartaches they've felt but they don't know by doing this, they will find their love of their life. Shot in 2 different countries (United Kingdom and USA).

Lost in Translation

Two different people who feels the same - being LOST. Watch how will they be found in the city of Tokyo, Japan. Watching the movie makes me want to go to Tokyo, as in NOW! Also, I've been wonderin' what just the guy whispered to the girl that made her smile at the last scene? Do you know? Please tell me.

Eat, Pray, Love

A married Julia Roberts that realized how unhappy her marriage is so decided for a divorce and takes of on a round-the-world journey to find herself and leads to a new found love. Now, find out how she find herself by eating in Italy, praying in India and finding her love in Indonesia. That will sum to the 3I's where to travel...:)

50 First Dates

A romantic-comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, discover how a man who is afraid of commitments and by the time he found his love and discovering that the girl of his dreams has a short-term memory and forgets him the very next day. Find out how they end up together despite the situation. The movie was shot mostly in Oahu, Hawaii.

Serendipity

Another romantic-comedy movie that takes place in the Big Apple. A story how destiny works on two people destined to be together. Great for ladies/girls who really believes in serendipity. Love to experience the New York city's winter season with of course with also your destined soul!

Sunday, November 3, 2013

This will be my post 53 days before Christmas! How time flies so fast, right?! This event is now celebrating its monthsary, so as a celebration, here I am sharing you this wonderful, first time experience of mine. Last October 3, 2013, I together with 3 fan girls, we went on a concert with the ever popular boy band from the 90's, the Backstreet Boys. They are in a In A World Like This world tour is about them together again after 20 years in the music industry. I was such in awe when I was notified I got a ticket for the show. It's a great experience before this year ends.
The fan girl in us! We're ready for our very first concert and it will be the legendary BSB from 20 years back in time.

Project 5 of 365: Monochrome Is Love

Thursday, October 31, 2013

There's something in pictures in monochrome mode. There's something I love about it which I cannot define. The first photo is a test in monochrome mode which I guess it turned out well, for the 2nd and 3rd photos, these are my "feet-focus" jump shots. These are not so old jump shots by the way. The last two photos were edited to look like in monochrome mode. Do you also love the effect of monochrome in your pictures? Do share your monochrome photos. By the way, this is dedicated to the last day of October. Happy Halloween! Tomorrow is already November and 55 days to go, it will be Christmas already!

Throwback Thursday: Kinka-san Climb 2013

Thursday, October 24, 2013

Another second time around post. I've been to Kinka-san twice already. For the first post, you can read it HERE. But it was way different from the first time, the second time, I'm with a friend met from my Nihongo class and we climb the mountain through a cable car and hike going down. It's so nice riding the cable car.

Throwback Thursday: Centrair 2013

Thursday, October 17, 2013

Since I came via Kansai airport, I was excited to see how Centrair looks like. Its the airport in Chubu area located in an island in Nagoya. Yes, I say island since you should cross a railway over waters.
Joining the sister and the cousin UNTIL Centrair for their Guam trip. Yes, until at the airport only since I am not joining them for their Guam bound.

Throwback Thursday: Kyoto 2013

Thursday, October 10, 2013

I know, I know, I just posted about Kyoto, right? Well, this is what I told you to stand by 'cause I have another post about this classic and beautiful city. Last March I think of this year marks my 2nd visit to Kyoto and definitely this will not be the last. This time, this trip was with the cousin during a failed Tokyo trip. We had a 3 day-off bound for Tokyo but at the last minute, the other one on the trip cancelled so what to do on a 3 day-off? Decided to have a Kyoto photo shoot for a day. Photos below will do the story telling.
Bumped with these "feeling real" geishas. LOL. (sorry for the word) But though they're fake, this is the farthest we can get to have a geisha pictured. FYI: Real geishas lurk. They don't usually come out and seen by people and have their picture. I think these girls pay 10,000+JPY or 5,000PHP just to play geisha-geishahan. I can't afford that! LOL.

Project 4 of 365: Hello Mr. Sun!

Saturday, October 5, 2013

Hello there guys and gals! It's been a long time since I did a photography post, right? Did you miss it? If you miss it, here I am serving you some Mr. Sun shots to feed your hungry eyes. These shots were taken during our Mt. Haku climb. If you missed my Mt. Haku post, you can read it HERE. I hope you like these shots of Mr. Sun while rising except for the last picture. It was taken during Mr. Sun getting ready to go to the other side of the earth at 5:00 in the afternoon, I guess. How do you like these shots? Comments are loved and appreciated.

Throwback Thursday: Whitepia 2013

Thursday, October 3, 2013

Hello everyone! Cold days again in this part of the world. Autumn is here loveys! For some cold-themed posts, I am sharing you this freezing post!

During last part of winter this year, we've been to a snow ski park! Again, first time gal here! Just saw snow ski parks in televisions before but this time, I got to try it! What a lucky gal here, right?!
All I can see is white! (of course, right?! snow ski park eh, alangan naman makakita ka nang plains...lol) Also, got to ride a lift which a ride that transfers skiers from the ground to the mountains where the skiing part takes place. It was indeed amazing and enjoyable! I can't believe myself I succeeded in riding and getting off the lift. It's so hard, you know. Taking note that you have your skis on.

For a beginner, yes, I stumbled many times! It's so hard, I want to just roll myself in the snow to make myself a snowball and just roll myself to finish the course but I think that is exaggerated enough. LOL.

Travel Tuesday: Haku-san Climb 2013

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

After all the body aches I've gathered had been completely cured and healed, here I am now sharing to you my mountain climb experience in Mt. Haku before it will expire. LOL.

Throwback Thursday: Universal City Walk Osaka 2012

Thursday, September 26, 2013

As you can read in my post HERE, we had an epic fail peg with the sister during getting an NBI clearance in Osaka. So after a week, we came back to Osaka for my NBI clearance. Still, Philippine system is the same even here. By that Philippine system, I hope you already know what I mean. (random rambling here...) After half a day in the embassy, at last we're done. To cure the bad trip of both of us, we decided to go to Universal city where Universal Studios Japan is located. October 2012 was our scheduled trip to USJ but unfortunately, a week before that I had my chicken pox made in Japan. What a great timing, right?!? That's why all reservations were cancelled and the trip in USJ were off. But, done is done. I don't regret it already since I went with many companions in USJ this year. If you haven't read it, see it HERE. Well, back here, we just decided to go to Universal City Walk (outside of Universal Studios premises) during our half day in Osaka.

Throwback Thursday: Kyoto 2012

Thursday, September 19, 2013

The hottest part of Japan during summer but is the most visited during autumn because of its famous "kouyou" or autumn leaves. November of last year, we accidentally been to Kyoto with the sister. Yes, accidentally. No plans of going there that time but because of wasn't able to check the holiday of Philippine embassy in Osaka, we end in Kyoto. The plans were after getting NBI clearance for my visa renewal, we will just explore a little in Osaka but because there was a long time to spare, we end up going back in the track and stopped in Kyoto and was able to see for the first time the famous Golden Pavilion and the Kiyomizudera temple. Both were most visited attractions in Kyoto.
The Golden Pavilion itself. What a beauty right? Such in awe upon seeing this glittering pavilion. (exaggerated though...LOL...)

Throwback Thursday: Fuji-q Highland 2012

Throwback Thursday: Fuji-san Climb 2012

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Hello there guys wherever part of the world you're in! Just got up from bed after a night shift and just remembered it's another Thursday and I didn't had any drafts for my throwback Thursday. So without further adieu, I would like to share to you my Mt. Fuji climb almost a year ago.
My bestfriend for that day is this backpack from Dora the Explorer. (I know there's a corn there! Hahaha...) This is my trusty Coleman backpack for hiking enthusiasts. It's a bit big, bulky and heavy right there. Also, there's my handy-dandy cane.
At the 5th station where everything starts! Here I am posing for a once in a lifetime adventure! Join me! Color palette of the day? Blue-Green!

Throwback Thursday: Kinka-san Climb 2012

Thursday, August 22, 2013

This is to show you how we practiced for our Mt. Fuji climb with the sister and the cousin which will be posted soon here so wait up for it. We climbed up and hiked down the Mt. Kinka, a mountain here in the area, in order to stretch those hard muscles and at least to experience the difficulty in climbing. Even in the start, the route we took was hard. We pursue and inspired ourselves to go on for the sake of the Mt. Fuji hike experience. The route was like a woman having mood swings! First, it was a plain path, then comes those rock barriers.
